STATEMENT/ CV

Robyn A. Frank was born in Tampa, Florida and earned a BFA in Printmaking from Pratt Institute in 2007. Since graduating, she has professionally assisted artists such as Y.Z. Kami, Dennis McNett and Takashi Murakami. Robyn A. Frank currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.

Her work is a painted mythology of the limited self - a summation of self-authored-fictions, impressions of experiences -  the idea of who we are that feels permanently and uniquely “me,” or “you” or “I” or “he,” or “she.” Frank invents allegorical self portraits with characters or “players” to enact the dramas and experiences of her limited self.
